This policy explains how Jordan Zavaleta, operating as GisGeo Dev, handles information when you use Lithica Cloud Sync.
1. Purpose
Lithica Cloud Sync is a QGIS plugin that lets users find and download their Lithica Explorer and Lithica Mapper project backups from Google Drive and load their project data into QGIS.
2. Google user data accessed
The plugin uses Google OAuth 2.0 and requests the drive.readonly scope. This scope authorizes read-only access to files in the user's Google Drive. The plugin's application logic limits its searches and reads to project backup files located within the Lithica Explorer and Lithica Mapper folders and to the files the user selects for download.
The plugin receives the minimum account information needed by Google's authorization flow, such as the signed-in account identity and authorization token. It does not request permission to modify or delete Google Drive files.
3. How Google user data is used
Google Drive file names, folder metadata, and selected project contents are used only to list available Lithica backups, download the project chosen by the user, extract it locally, and load its GeoPackage layers and tables into QGIS.
4. Storage, sharing, and retention
Downloaded projects are stored locally in the location used by the plugin so they can be opened in QGIS. GisGeo Dev does not receive, sell, rent, or use Google user data for advertising. Google user data is not transferred to third parties, except as required to provide the Google authorization and Drive services or to comply with law.
OAuth credentials or tokens may be stored locally by QGIS or the plugin to maintain the user's authorized session. They are not stored on GisGeo Dev servers. Local downloaded files and locally stored authorization data remain until the user removes them, clears the plugin configuration, revokes access, or uninstalls the plugin.
5. Data protection
The plugin uses Google's OAuth 2.0 flow and encrypted HTTPS connections to Google APIs. Access tokens are used only for the functions described in this policy. No security method can guarantee absolute protection, but access is limited to the plugin's stated read-only purpose.
6. User controls
You can revoke Lithica Cloud Sync access at any time from the third-party connections section of your Google Account. You can also delete locally downloaded project files and remove locally stored plugin authorization through QGIS or your operating system.
7. Limited Use compliance
Lithica Cloud Sync's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
8. Changes and contact
