1. Controller and account
Jordan Angel Luciano Zavaleta Reyes (GisGeo Dev), Peru, is responsible for this application. Contact: jordanzav@gisgeo.dev. The app uses Google sign-in and Firebase Authentication for access. Google and Firebase process account identifiers, email, profile information supplied during sign-in, and network and security information. Firestore stores access status, consent, newsletter preferences and operational metrics. Previously verified access may remain available temporarily offline.
2. Local data and permissions
Projects, geometries, geological observations, coordinates, raster layers, documents and stratigraphic columns are stored initially on your device. Location permission displays your position and georeferences your work when you use those functions. File selection and storage support GIS imports and exports. You can revoke permissions in device settings. Content remains local unless you synchronize, export, share or request an online operation involving it.
3. Operational metrics
Account-linked metrics include app version, build and platform, activity dates, sessions, active days, synchronization counts and dates, and counts of projects, layers, features, rasters, documents and stratigraphic columns. These support operation and technical improvement. Counters do not contain complete project geometries or scientific content and are not used for advertising.
4. Optional Google Drive synchronization
If you authorize and enable synchronization, selected project files are transferred to your own Google Drive account. The drive.file permission limits access to files created by or explicitly opened with the app. You control those files and may revoke authorization through Google. Deleting the app account does not delete your Google account or automatically remove Drive files.
5. External providers and maps
Google, Firebase, Google Drive, Esri/ArcGIS and other map services process requests under their own terms. Online map requests can reveal the requested area, IP address and timing to the provider. ArcGIS sign-in authorizes requests using your account; availability, download rights, quotas and charges depend on that account and service. GisGeo Dev does not promise a shared free download quota.
Providers may process data outside your country. Authentication uses secure connections. For custom remote sources, the configured address and transport determine how requests are sent. Protect your device and backups; no storage or transmission method guarantees absolute security.
6. Purposes and retention
Information is processed for access, requested functions, optional synchronization, security, support and technical improvement. Newsletter communication depends on your subscription preference. GisGeo Dev does not sell personal data or use these metrics for personalized advertising.
Local files remain until you remove them; exported files may remain after uninstalling. You manage synchronized files in Drive. Account and operational records are retained while needed to operate the account, until deletion is requested and processed. Any limited retention for security or legal obligations will be explained with its reason, scope and period.
7. Deletion and rights
Use the in-app deletion option or email jordanzav@gisgeo.dev, preferably from the address used to sign in. After identity verification, GisGeo Dev deletes the application's Firebase Authentication account and associated access, consent and usage records it controls in Firestore. Signing out or uninstalling does not request remote deletion. You may also request access or correction under applicable law.

8. Children and changes
Mapper is a professional and educational geological mapping tool, not directed at children under 13. Contact us if a child's personal information has been provided. Material changes will be reflected in this page and communicated through an appropriate notice.
