Privacy Policy for Lithica GeoTech

This Privacy Policy describes how Lithica GeoTech, package identifier com.gisgeodev.lithicageotech, accesses, collects, uses, shares, protects, retains, and deletes information. The Application is developed by GisGeo Dev (Jordan Zavaleta).

1. Scope and purpose

Lithica GeoTech is a professional geotechnical knowledge and calculation application for Android and Windows. It provides material references, rock mass classification, RMR, Q-System, Hoek-Brown, Mohr-Coulomb, ISRM reference content, and related technical workflows.

2. Information we collect

Signing in with a Google account is required to access the Application. We collect only the information needed to authenticate users, control access, and maintain basic operational records:

  • Account information: Google account email address and Firebase user identifier (UID).
  • Access information: whether access is enabled and the assigned access role.
  • App and device context: application version, build number, and operating platform.
  • Basic usage records: account creation time, last-seen time, session count, and active day.
  • Local preferences: theme, interface scale, Expert Mode selection, and the limited offline-access verification state stored on your device.

We do not use Lithica GeoTech to collect advertising identifiers, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, payment data, or the values and results you enter into the geotechnical calculators. The Application does not display third-party advertising.

3. How we use information

  • Authenticate you and keep your session secure.
  • Create and maintain your Lithica GeoTech access record.
  • Authorize or block access when an account has been disabled by an administrator.
  • Provide up to seven days of offline access after a successful online verification.
  • Maintain compatibility, prevent abuse, diagnose access problems, and support the Application.

We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

4. Service providers and sharing

Authentication and the access registry are provided through Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Google acts as a service provider that processes the information required to deliver those services. We do not share personal information with data brokers, advertisers, or unrelated third parties.

We may disclose information if required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Application, or our legal rights.

5. Local technical data and calculations

Geotechnical inputs, calculations, interface preferences, and offline authorization state are processed or stored locally on the device as required by the Application. GisGeo Dev does not receive the technical values entered in the calculators through the account-access system described in this policy.

6. Security

Data sent to Firebase is protected in transit using encrypted connections. Firestore security rules restrict each user to reading their own access record, prevent users from changing protected authorization fields, and deny access to other collections by default. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Retention

Account and access records are retained while your Lithica GeoTech account remains active and as needed to operate the Application. When an account-deletion request is verified, we delete the Firebase Authentication account and the associated Firestore access record within 30 days, unless limited retention is required by law, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute resolution obligations. Residual encrypted backup copies, if any, may remain until the normal backup cycle completes.

Local data remains on your device until you remove it, clear the Application's storage, or uninstall the Application. Signing out removes the saved local access verification.

8. Account and data deletion request

You can request permanent deletion of your Lithica GeoTech account and its associated server-side data even if you no longer have the Application installed.

  1. Send an email from the Google account used with Lithica GeoTech.
  2. Use the subject “Delete my Lithica GeoTech account”.
  3. We may ask you to verify account ownership before deletion.
  4. After verification, the Firebase Authentication account and associated Firestore record will be deleted within 30 days.

Deleting your Lithica GeoTech account does not delete your Google account. Local files and preferences must be removed from each device by clearing application storage or uninstalling the Application.

9. Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional privacy rights.

10. Children's privacy

Lithica GeoTech is a professional engineering tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

11. International processing

Google Firebase may process information in countries other than your own. Those services are subject to Google's applicable data-protection terms and safeguards.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Application, its data practices, or legal requirements change. The current version and its effective date will remain available on this page.

13. Contact
