Lithica Atlas Privacy Policy

This policy applies to Lithica Atlas for Android and Windows. The controller is Jordan Angel Luciano Zavaleta Reyes (GisGeo Dev), Peru. Contact: jordanzav@gisgeo.dev.
1. Account and access
The current version requires Google sign-in. Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication handle authentication; GisGeo Dev does not receive your password. Firebase stores the identifier, email, name, profile photo URL, access status and registration and verification dates.
Following successful verification, Atlas can retain offline access for up to seven days. First sign-in and renewed verification require a connection. A disabled account or mandatory update may prevent access.
2. Local catalog and activity
Records, installed images, indexes, modules and preferences remain on the device. They are not synchronized to Google Drive. Search text and record contents are not sent as part of usage counters.
The app sends Firestore counts of sessions, active days, viewed records and searches, last activity, platform, version and build number. These records are linked to the account, not anonymous statistics. They do not include search terms or viewed record identifiers. They support service maintenance, understanding feature usage and incident handling, not advertising.
3. Consent and newsletter
Firebase stores accepted terms and privacy versions, date, language, build and the separate newsletter choice. Subscription is optional and not required to use Atlas. Change it in Settings or request removal by email. We use your name and email to send news only if you opt in.
4. Security, permissions and network
The app checks device characteristics locally to detect emulators. When it displays a block triggered by this detection, it automatically attempts to send email, incident identifier, reason, manufacturer/model, Android build fingerprint, platform and date. Receipt depends on service configuration. This fingerprint describes the system; it is not biometric data.
Internet supports authentication, access checks, activity, consent, updates, GisGeo Dev announcements and external links. Android declares notification and foreground data-sync service permissions for catalog installation progress. It does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or broad external-storage access.
5. Providers and transfers
Google/Firebase process data for the functions above. These services and gisgeo.dev hosting may receive IP addresses, dates and technical requests, and process data outside your country. See Google's privacy policy and Firebase privacy information. External sources receive requests when you open their links.
We do not sell data or integrate advertising. This version has no dedicated Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics SDK; it does use the custom counters described above. The connections described here use HTTPS/TLS. Local protection relies on the operating system; no security guarantee is absolute.
6. Retention and deletion
Remote profile, consent and usage records are retained while the account exists, until deletion, except for limited records needed for security, fraud prevention, disputes or legal obligations. If an exception applies, its reason, scope and duration are communicated.
Signing out removes the session and local profile saved by Atlas, but not the remote account or all files. Clearing app storage in Android removes private app data; exported files and external copies must be removed separately.
Request deletion from Settings → account deletion or the public deletion page, even without the app installed. After identity verification, GisGeo Dev deletes the Firebase Authentication account and the Atlas profile, consent and activity records it controls. Verified requests are completed within 30 calendar days unless an exception is communicated. This does not delete your Google account.
7. Rights, audience and changes
Contact jordanzav@gisgeo.dev to request access, correction, deletion or information about your data, or withdraw newsletter consent, subject to applicable law. Do not send passwords or tokens.
Atlas is a geoscience reference tool, not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect their data. Material changes will update this policy's date and version and, when appropriate, require renewed in-app acceptance.
