Overview
Lithica GeoTech is a geotechnical engineering platform and versioned knowledge base for Android and Windows. It brings material references, rock mass classification systems, strength criteria, and support design tools into one consistent technical workspace.
The application is designed for both day-to-day engineering use and detailed technical review. Engineer Mode keeps operational workflows focused, while Expert Mode exposes formulas, procedures, source context, and additional traceability.
Geotechnical knowledge base
- Reference library for igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks, plus representative soil materials.
- Recommended mechanical and physical properties with provenance, confidence, and variability context.
- Clear separation between reference values and project-specific engineering judgment.
Classification and design modules
- RMR by Bieniawski: RMR89, RMR76, historical RMR73, and RMR14, with version-specific parameters and tables.
- Q-System by Barton: Q and Qc calculations, ESR selection, excavation type, support chart, and criteria based on Barton 1974, Grimstad and Barton 1993, and Barton 2002.
- Hoek-Brown and Mohr-Coulomb: Hoek-Brown 2002 parameters, rock mass strength, confinement limits, equivalent cohesion and friction angle, and a graphical strength envelope.
- ISRM methods: A structured compendium of suggested methods, equipment, procedures, objectives, and criteria from the Blue Book and Orange Book classifications.
Built for technical work
- Engineer and Expert interface modes.
- Light, dark, and system themes with configurable interface scale.
- Responsive layouts for Android phones, tablets, laptops, and Windows desktops.
- Seven-day offline access after a successful online account verification.
- Shared domain logic and calculations across Android and Windows.
Current status
